The Solomon Islands intervened with a statement on West Papua


19 Sep 2016 – The United Nations Council for human Rights is holding its 33rd regular session. The Solomon Islands intervened with a statement on West Papua, during the General Debate under Item 4: Human rights situations that require the Council’s attention. A joint statement was also made by VIVAT International, on behalf of other organizations, regarding the human rights situation in West Papua. Indonesia subsequently used its right of reply.
